This is the first picture of the all-new crankshaft for the all-new Indian motorcycles Polaris plans to release later this year. There is a lot of hype around the new Indians, especially as the company switched hands and Polaris are sworn to bring back the old glory for what refer to as the "real American motorcycle manufacturer".
We're not taking sides in the “battle” which will most likely ensue between the H-D fans and the supporters of Indian, but we cannot help wondering how will indeed the new series of Indians be, with all the reassuring messages from Polaris officials.
So far, this picture has started a lot of debate as to whether the new engine will sports a cam chain for potential overhead cams, making upgrading much easier for those who like tinkering. Imagination went wild for both pros and cons, and it looks like things will only get bigger until the Sturgis event.
We're also wondering whether other announcements relating to technologies and parts will be made and start some sort of a puzzle game based on the long-awaited comeback of the Indian bikes.
