Some riders crash because they don't lean enough through the bends, and some do because they lean when and how they shouldn't. Add in some sand in the way, and the recipe for a serious wreck is ready.

The unlucky Kawasaki rider can be observed excessively getting out of his seat, not unlike many others we see crashing on twisties such as the Snake in California. Supersport machines and superbikes are way lighter and more agile than the 1400 Kawa, so regaining control of the big-bore sport-tourer after doing the wrong thing is ofter hard.
Too bad that the fellow could not concentrate and lean to the right while applying some brakes once back on firm asphalt...
