The 1984 Gilera NGR 250 is powered by a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 249cc, single cylinder powerplant that was mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 38 horsepower and 31 Nm of torque.

In addition, it comes with a 38mm Marzocchi telescopic front fork, a rear monoshock suspension, dual front disc brakes, a dual seat, passenger grab handles, a small windscreen, analogue instrumentation dials, die-cast aluminium wheels, a square headlight and a steel trellis frame.
