The 690 SMC R ranks among the most powerful curve-bandits on the road. Alongside the outstandingly tuned suspension, two major contributors to its excellent tracking stability are the lightweight tubular trellis frame made from chrome-molybdenum steel and the high-quality die-cast swingarm - both of them extremely torsion-resistant.

The KTM 660 SMC model is a Super motard bike manufactured by KTM. This model comes with massive power and performance as well as minimum weight. The Brembo four piston floating calliper front brake and the 320 disc will out brake any opposition. With no electric start, it proved tricky until we could find bottom dead centre and then kick-start it (from the left hand side) with zero throttle. It saved me going to the gym that day but I’d still rather have a wee button.
