Some might say that Tiff Needell is a washed up F1 driver from the 80, but that at worst it only means he’s got the most experience of all the pretenses out there. Even though he’s 60, he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down has his participation has been announced for the Top Gear Live event at the NEC Birmingham (11-13 November ) and London Excel (24 – 27 November).
Needell, who used to be a Top Gear presenter, will be doing the presenting work at the even that lasts 80 minutes on the Lotus Motorsport-configured circuit. His co-host will be BBC Watchdog presenter, Rebecca Wilcox who will be keeping a watchful eye on proceedings as a host of activities, including ‘Stars in Reasonably-Priced Cars’ and head-to-head drag racing featuring some special guests who will take to the purpose-built track.
“I always have a fantastic time at Top Gear Live and this year it will be the best ever; they will literally be transporting every element of the TV programme indoors and, with plenty of supercars, rally cars, noise and pyrotechnics, the show is sure to delight each and every visitor,” Tiff said.
