Opel fans who attended this year’s Tuning World Bodensee show were pleased to discover the latest creation from Steinmetz: a tuning package for the Astra.
The modification kit is destined for the 2010 Opel Astra and consists of an aerodynamic package, an interior kit, a lowered suspension and new set of rims.
The vehicle’s exterior has been lightly touched, as it has received a new front bumper, a black front grille and a roof spoiler.
"The new Steinmetz aerodynamic components provide that external wow factor. With the front spoiler and totally black front grille by Steinmetz, the front end appears even more dominant. For the rear, a roof spoiler has been designed to pick up the flowing “styling lines. Available as an option for the sides, there are designer strips in silver and anthracite and door handle plates in polished stainless steel,” stated the press release.
The Astra’s FlexRide adaptive suspension has also received attention from the German tuner, with the vehicle now being 30 mm closer to the road.
“The Steinmetz lowering has been matched to the FlexRide System and the Watt linkage fitted to the rear axle. The Steinmetz lowering by 30 mm has been specially developed for city traffic, but is also ideal for a quick blast around the North Loop of the Nurburgring,” stated the press release.
The vehicle rides on ST10 alloy wheel rims, which have been introduced as a premiere at the show and come in a 19 inch size. The interior of the Steinmetz Astra features a gear display, floor mats with a stainless steel logo, and sill trims that use polished stainless steel.
