Spyshots: 2011 Porsche Boxster Speedster

- It will most likely use the 3.4l 303 horsepower engine
- A four-cylinder turbocharged is not excluded

Mildly camouflaged, the Boxter Speedster is said to follow the tradition set by the older Porsche Speedster models. The new Speedster will feature a dome behind each headrest plus a lower windshield and a modified canvas hood.
The biggest questions about the future Boxster Speedster come to mind when trying to find out what it will hide under its hood. The most likely candidate for a place under the Porsche's hood is the engine found on the Boxster S Porsche Design Edition Two.
This unit, a 3.4l engine flat six, develops 303 horsepower (eight horsepower more than the series S model). It is also though that the German manufacturer also set its sights on fitting the Speedster with a turbocharged four-cylinder unit.
Despite the sketchy technical specs we have at our disposal at this time, the prospect of the Boxster Speedster being launch possibly by the end of 2009 makes us confident that new information will become available shortly.
