Rajputana Custom Motorcycles Nandi Awesomeness

The fact that most of the bikes rolling on the streets of India are small displacement ones made for commuting and most of them are lacking any shadow of personality does not mean one can't find spectacular builds. And Jaipur-based Rajputana workshop is all about creating spectacular custom motorcycles: welcome Nandi, an extreme 500cc thumper.

We fell in love with the wonderful way modern US-type custom elements have been mixed with the local accents. By all means Nandi will surely turn a lot of heads in the US or Europe: it's exotic and it's at the same time retro and Indian and all.

The huge 300mm rear tire is a great match for the 23" front wheel, but it's another detail which makes this build look cool: the rear laced rim! We got used to seeing such extreme tires shoeing billet rims with intricate designs, but Nandi is the living proof laced rims look at least as good.

Add in a springer fork with a matching retro seat and a vintage, clean handlebar with hanging mirrors, beautiful chrome accents complementing the pleasant green-cream color scheme and the in-your-face chain primary to get a custom ride like no other. The etched brass rings and badges are an awesome detail and a Rajputana trademark signature. Don't know how to say “great” in Hindi, but the Nandi is well worth the praise.
