It seems Peugeot has not given up on dazzling people with amazing concepts that never quite make it into production. This time, they’ve decided to make what seems to be a mid-engined sportscar, though it might also be an EV judging by the lack of air intakes.
The concept in question is named Onyx, and will present itself to the public attending the Paris Motor Show 2012 on the 29h of this month.
We don’t have any official information about the car, but the Spanish edition of Autoblog says the Onyx is a hybrid, powered by a 1.6 THP, tuned to produce 250 horsepower. Total output will be pushed to around 400 horsepower by some sort of electric system.
Hopefully, Peugeot doesn’t go under before it can put such an interesting car into production.
autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
