New Mercedes-Benz Viano Avantgarde Edition 125 Revealed

In what Daimler calls “a blend of MPV, saloon and sports car,” the Edition 125 of the Viano Avantgarde has just been launched, combining attractive looks with selected equipment and a dynamic drive system. The new Mercedes-Benz Viano Avantgarde Edition 125 is available from this spring in two different lengths, namely ‘compact’ and ‘long’.

Taken separately, in terms of styling, the Viano Avantgarde Edition 125 comes in obsidian black or brilliant silver metallic colors, and is shod in 19-inch, 16-spoke light-alloy wheels.

Also, the exclusive look is rounded off by the high-gloss chromed exterior mirror housings, plus the side skirts and chrome trim on the front bumper and chromed rear trim on the tailgate.

Step inside the this top variant of the Viano and you’ll find further elements that confirm the stylish aspect: sporty, yet comfortable seats with leather cover (Lugano leather or the “Twin DINAMICA” microfibre surface are available), a cockpit
with a white scale illumination for the instruments, and sports pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs. The decorative strips have a black or brown burr-walnut look.

There are four individual seats for the passengers in the rear and these also share the same features as the ones in the front. The seats include integral three-point seat belts, height-adjustable head restraints and adjustable armrests.

Performance wise, the Viano Avantgarde Edition 125 comes fitted with two V6 units that are coupled with an automatic transmission.

There is a V6 CDI 3.0 unit that develops 224 hp and 440 Nm (325 lb.ft.) of torque, capable of propelling the vehicle from naught to sixty in 9.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 201 km/h (125 mph). For the 285 hp V6 3.5 petrol engine, the figures are 10.4 seconds and 217 km/h (135 mph) respectively.
