With the exception of the Corvette ZR1, all supercars have the transparent engine cover in the back, so you can admire the aluminum, carbon fiber and enamel without having to open it it. This is a brilliant idea, so why not do the same for the front. Because there’s nothing to see there you say? Not so fast.
We found something that’s definitely worth seeing at the front of the Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce that was customized by the guys at Al & Eds in partnership with Kenwood Electronics for last year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The best Lamorghini available at the time was chosen because Kenwood is the factory OEM radio in all Lamborghini Murcielagos, and they needed the best of the best for the event. They change a whole bunch of speakers and woofers in the cars, with ones laced with carbon fiber, and to power them all they installed to Kenwood eXcelon amplifiers under the bonnet.
To let people see the custom Alcantara and the piping under there, they made a transparent cover from plexiglass and wrapped its edges in carbon fiber to match the engine cover. Two eXcelon amplifiers totaling over 1,000 watts are worth showing off.
