Ahead of the car’s expected show debut in New York next month, Mercedes Benz has released a couple of videos of the new top-of-the-range SL roadster, equipped with an all-mighty V12 Biturbo engine good for 621 hp (630 hp).
You’d expect more from a car that has so much torque that it has to be limited to only a full 1,000Nm (737 lb-ft). But this is just the way the B-roll video works: point the camera and let the boring times come.
You will excuse us for no getting excited about a car that’s no Ferrari rival yet costs from €236,334 ($310,000) in Germany. We don’t expect the US market model to cost more $300,000, but some of the cool features you see in this video are actually optional.
