Some really nifty footage from an Austrian race track shows us a BMW S1000RR riding alongside what appears to be the mighty KTM 1290 Super Duke R.
Unable to tell whether we're looking at the production version of the brutal street fighter, it looks like the filmed bike is really capable to put up a nice fight with the amazing S1000RR machinery.
By all means a less powerful beast than the BMW S1000RR which is just under the 200 HP mark, the upcoming Super Duke R shows very good leaning angles and more that decent thrust to keep up with the liter-class racing-minded Beemer.
We will see the final production version later in the fall at the 2013 EICMA in Milan, Italy, so until then it's only a guessing game. However, if the new KTM is anything like the one in this video, then there's going to be a new pretender to the street throne, soon.
