We all remember the pink Fiat 500 show car birthday gift created by the Italian company last year for Barbie’s 50th anniversary. It generated a wide range of feelings and emotions. Opinions on it were mainly divided by gender. You can easily guess who loved it and who absolutely hated it.
We believe, however, that apart from the Planet's male population, there are also a lot of women who find this car as attractive as a trip to the city dump.
Fiat will bring in 2010 the car to production, releasing a limited run of 500 units, as Autocar reports. Make that 499, as Paris Hilton will surely buy one. The company said that the decision to put the vehicle into production was based on the public’s positive reaction to last year’s concept.
According to the aforementioned source, the real world version will get the pink paint, but the interior of the car will not feature a very extravagant color scheme.
The 4-wheeled creature will cost 11,700 pounds on-the-road and, fortunately, we won’t be able to see it in dealerships, as it will only be available for purchase online.
“It will appeal to free thinking drivers who have a distinctive personality,” Elena Barnadelli, Fiat’s UK marketing director was quoted as saying by Autocar.
