BMW Launches Tuning Kits with a Vid

BMW 1 Series with the new kit

BMW have launched new kits for the 1 and 3 series and they've also thrown in a video to see how these things work. The music is accompanied by the whaling sound transformed by a Silencer system.

There are 32 products in this range, and that includes go faster stripes, carbon fiber interior trims and sport kits for the F1 driver in you.

But don't for a moment think that this kit is all show and no go as BMW engineers threw in a short throw shifter, allowing for a 25% increase in shifting speed, sports seats, suspension cross-brace in carbon or aluminum, ultra-stiff shock absorber, a new braking system and an air intake system.

Other components include aerodynamic kits, carbon fiber diffusers, black front grilles carbon fiber spoilers, new rims, aluminum pedal pads, carbon fiber interiors, and an Alcantara gear lever knob.

But all these pale in comparison to the sport steering wheel with display that resembles the one on a Ferrari 599 GTB except that this one has a LCD display. This latest addition shows, including lap times, split times, maximum acceleration and speed, and the time taken for the quarter-mile sprint. It also shows the Gear Shift Indicator, water and oil temperature readings, and figures for straight-line and lateral acceleration.

All these kits are great, and we definitely love the black kidney grille, the uber-cool steering wheel, the short throw shifter, and the sport seats.
