It was only natural to see Kawasaki surfacing a special edition machine for the 30th anniversary of its Ninja line-up. After the initial offers for the ZX-6R and the ZX-10R superbike, here is a new sizzling hot ZX-14R flagship monster which will most likely sell like hot cakes, as it looks like the house of Akashi has an excellent price tag attached to it.
The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R 30th Anniversary is up for grabs for $15,899 (€11,670), only $300 (€220) above the price of the regular model, and this makes it a really awesome bike for those fond of such a limited-edition beast. On the tech side, the 30th Anniversary ZX-14R is identical to the standard version, and this means you’ll be rolling with a 1,441cc in-line 4 engine fed via a digital injection system using 4 44mm Mikuni throttle bodies and with digital advance, mated to a 6-speed transmission and chain final drive.

A back-torque slipper clutch is standard, just like the KTRC traction control, ABS radial brakes and a 2-mode engine mapping switch, with dashboard revisions for better instrument readability. Front-end suspension is catered by a 43mm inverted fork with 18-way compression and 15-way rebound adjustments, complemented by a bottom-link Uni-Trak gas shock in the rear, with adjustable preload, stepless rebound and compression damping adjustments and adjustable ride height.

Of course, the livery of the 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R 30th Anniversary had to be special, and this bike will be delivered in a two-tone Firecracker Red/ Metallic Graystone combination, with gold pinstripe accents and matching calipers. The 30th Anniversary badges on the fairing are also golden, and each of the 300 units will also receive an unique number.

Reservations can be made as of 15 July with authorized dealers, with a $1,000 (€735c) deposit. The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R 30th Anniversary will be sold on a first-come first-served basis, and if you fancy such a bike, you’d better act quickly. Financing solutions are available as well.
