The NHTSA has issued the recall campaign number 12V262000 for certain 2013 models of Brammo's Empulse electric motorcycle. The reason behind the recall is as serious as it gets, as it looks like the affected bikes could suffer from a broken tail section while riding.
Brammo has not made public the recall schedule, but the NHTSA says the affected motorcycles have been manufactured between November 19 2012 and June 18, 2013. Owners who are not sure on their Brammo Empulse can reach the manufacturer at 1-541-482-9555.

According to NHTSA documentation, the rear tail assembly bracket can fatigue and cause the tail section to break off during riding, with major risks of severe injury or death to the rider and especially the passenger.

It is advisable to refrain from riding your 2013 model Empulse until having cleared out whether one's motorcycle is affected or not by this serious recall.
