Based on the Volkswagen B5 platform, the facelifted Volkswagen Passat was improved with a couple of elements which improved both the performance and the appearance of the car. Beside the projector optic headlights and the tail lights, the German car manufacturer added in 2002 a 4 liter engine which produced no less than 275 horsepower.
