Nowadays, you don't even have to be an automotive aficionado in order to dream about driving a race car on the road. All the bells and whistles from the track, translated onto your favorite boulevards make it impossible to say "no" to such a thought.
The Lamborghini Gallardo basically built the latter part of its career on special edition, so neither could Lambo refuse the opportunity to cater to the aforementioned need.
We could say that the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale serves its purpose rather well. This is quite a usable machine for a race car. The trick here is that the actual racing Gallardo, the Super Trofeo, is very closely related to the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, so the Stradale version was easy to create.
The best part of the car is, of course, represented by the show it puts one everywhere it goes, whether it makes you feel special inside it or it determines people to turn their heads on the street.
Like many other special editions, the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale is only a good choice if you take it as a fetish. On most occasions though, you'll be much better off with the standard Gallardo. It's not like this lacks anything in the drama department anyway.
The car itself is no more difficult to drive than the standard
Gallardo LP560-4. Nevertheless, it's interesting how the Super Trofeo Stradale manages to be as thrilling as the
Gallardo LP550-2, but less dangerous.
Alas, the motorsport-borrowed elements, such as the seats, make it hopelessly impractical for everyday driving and make up the worst part of the vehicle.
Yes, we are aware of the fact that we've basically mentioned the same elements when talking about both the best and the worst sides of this supercar. It's up to you to decide which of the two is true.
