If you thought that the exterior of the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale was highly on the extrovert side, wait 'till you open the door. To start with, the
door card is a massive slab of carbon, while the handle is a thin piece of textile material. Red textile material, that is.
To go with the aforementioned carbon fiber, Lamborghini has gifted the cabin with some... carbon fiber. This is used for the
center console and fixed-backrest
bucket seats. The Italians even considered those who may complain that the seat finish doesn't allow you to see the carbon fiber.
For them, there's an optional interior kit that brings even more carbon fiber. This is sprinkled over the center console (extra topping), handbrake lever, lower steering wheel and over a few other trim accessories.
The rest of the interior is split between Rosso Mars- and Black-colored
Alcantara. Our fingers are pleased and, as we settle into the seats, the grip is nice, but we do expect our backs to start complaining by the time we reach the next chapter.
This has nothing to do with all the red displayed here, but, inside the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale, Santa Claus really does exist. That's because Lamborghini allows you to choose both a racing package and a comfort one.
The pilot's choice on the menu will bring you a roll cage, four-point safety belts, as well as a fire extinguisher. Previous experiences with such amenities on public roads have made us cheer for not having to deal with their painful impracticality in our test car.
Fortunately, our tester was gifted with the comfort package, which meant that we didn't have to get lost or damage the nose of the car. Apart from the navigation and nose lift system, you can also fit the car with a Bluetooth connection and an anti-theft system.
Apart from the fixed-back racing seats, the Gallardo Super Trofeo's interior doesn't differ from that of a standard
Gallardo in terms of usability. Surprisingly, you can even see behind the car under that massive rear spoiler.
