autoevolution's Two-Wheeler Month

There is a world of difference between the collective mindsets of die-hard bikers and car aficionados, but it would be unfair to simply split fans of mobility in half so abruptly.  

The vernacular practice of riding a motorcycle or a bicycle and driving an automobile are vastly different, but all means of transportation have a common ancestor: the quest for human freedom.  

That said, there are many who would say that vehicular human freedom can only be reached on two wheels, fighting against the elements, while also being the closest thing to riding a horse.  

Two-wheel transportation is an endeavor that is a tad more modern than the four-wheeled one – you know, the horse before the cart - but on the other hand. it predates the modern automobile by over half a century.  

It is also a lot more spread around the world for reasons that are too many to mention. 

Now that summer has arrived, the season to go riding things instead of driving is finally here. On top of it, with most humans spending their time this year in lockdown because of the global health crisis, the thirst for going outside and taking a stroll on two wheels has never been greater.  

We are all in this together, no matter how divergent, which is why autoevolution’s theme for June is an ode to anything on two wheels, whether we are talking about bicycles, mopeds, scooters, crotch rockets, dirt bikes or choppers. Ride safe!
