Zero S In the NYC WIRED Showroom

Electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero Motorcycles announced today that its all-electric Zero S bike will be a featured product in the new WIRED store in New York City. The store will open for the public starting November 21, but just for six weeks, during the holiday shopping season.

A Zero S will be featured in a special green section curated by Entourage star Adrian Grenier and Peter Glatzer of SHFT.COM.

"WIRED magazine is known for bringing the newest and best technology to the world. Showcasing a Zero S in the WIRED Store is great for us to connect with New Yorkers who are interested in technology, motorcycles or green transportation,"
said Gene Banman, CEO of Zero Motorcycles, in a statement for the press. "The Zero S is perfect for New York's city streets. It's quick, lightweight, fun and environmentally friendly."

The WIRED Store is located at 415 West 13th Street between 9th Avenue and Washington Street in Manhattan's Meatpacking/Highline District. The store will be open until December 27.

Developed for urban environments, the Zero S integrates weighs only 225 lb. (102 kg) and provides a range of up to 60 miles (100 km) and a top speed of 60 mph (100 km/hour). The motor generates 31 horsepower and 62.5 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Zero S uses a lithium ion array and it is mainly built out of fully recyclable materials. The landfill approved power pack recharges in less than four hours while plugged into a standard 110V or 220V outlet.
