Zero Motorcycles Proves Its Technology to Arnold Schwarzenegger

One week after the California Government approved a new state rebate program that provides consumers with a greater incentive when purchasing an electric motorcycle, Zero Motorcycles went to pay a visit to the California Governor himself. Arnold Schwarzenegger received a demonstration of the 2010 product line, unveiled earlier this month in Daytona.

The newly launched rebate program gives consumers $1,500 off the purchase of either a Zero S or DS motorcycle. Furthermore, if consumers combine this with the Federal Tax Credit the total cost savings is $2,500.

"Zero electric motorcycles are very important technology and this is great for California because this is an ideal place to ride motorcycles. I want to personally thank Gene Banman and Neal Saiki for bringing these innovative electric zero emission motorcycles to the capitol for us to see,“ stated Governor Schwarzenegger.

"I love the financial side of these motorcycles because they cost less then one cent per mile to operate and you get a 10% federal tax credit plus a California rebate of $1,500. That equates to a 25 percent price reduction making these electric motorcycles affordable for anybody, and Zero Motorcycles has developed the type of technology that will save us all by reducing greenhouse gasses while utilizing renewable energy."

All 2010 motorcycles have new Corbin seats, various color graphic packages, and are powered using Z-Force power pack technology for a longer power pack life, more power, greater acceleration off the line and superior handling.

"Our motorcycles are truly game changing and once you ride one, you immediately realize that electric motorcycles are here to stay. Our motorcycles are high performance, fun to ride and the best part is, you can buy one today," Gene Banman, CEO, Zero Motorcycles, said in a release.
