Zero Gravity Launches BMW S 1000 RR Double Windscreen

BMW S 1000 RR owners can now enhance their ride by fitting the new Double Bubble windscreen that has been specifically developed by motorcycle parts manufacturer Zero Gravity for the German sportbike, joining the SR Series and Corsa Series to round out the lineup of screens already on offer.

The S1000RR Double Bubble is approximately 1.75" (44.45mm) taller than OEM screen providing more wind protection when tucked in at speed. The windscreen is available in a variety of colors as well as clear, light smoke and dark smoke.

For the 2011 AMA Superbike racing season Zero Gravity screens will be used on the racetrack for Larry Pegram on his Formost Insurance/BMW S1000RR superbike. Also, they will be found aboard the Pit Bull/KWS Motosports Team's world record holding S1000RR entry in the ECTA top speed series.

The BMW S1000RR Double Bubble starts at $109.95 and is protected by a limited factory warranty.

The windscreen appears as a "bubble within a bubble" which is exactly how this windscreen is fabricated. It is factory pre-drilled (except certain racing applications), suitable for both street and track use, and made from 3mm Acrylic sheet. As well as the other Zero Gravity windscreens, Double Bubble features hand polished visible edges and distortion free optical clarity.

The first version of the Double Bubble appeared on Team ZG's 1995 Yamaha TZ250's ridden by Nick Ienatsch. Many of today's top riders use Zero Gravity to compete, from 6 time AMA Superbike champ Mat Mladin, to 2 time AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies & former Supersport champion Tommy Hayden on Team Yoshimura Suzuki, to Eric & Ben Bostrom, Jaimie Hacking & Jason DiSalvo.
