The times are changing, motorcycles are changing, too, and law enforcement agencies are not making an exception. Here's Zero Motorcycles' latest advertising for authority bikes, depicting the DSP, short for Dual Sport Police.
Now with a top speed of 95 mph () you'd be better off if the sporty character of this bike was not used to catch you. The dual-sport nature is extremely useful as these bikes will fare much better on rough terrain, and riding across curbs, up and down flights of stairs and multiple other similar situations will make them get you faster.

These bikes come with a range of 164 miles () tops, and this means a full charge will effortlessly last even for a 12-hour shift of constant patrolling. Add in regenerative braking, options for on and off-road use for even more versatility.

As for the electric propulsion, it allows motorcycle cops to patrol indoors and close confines, hide, idle and pursue fully stealthily as far as noise is concerned. And with the powerful acceleration, we might see pursuits ended way quicker as these bikes will throttle ahead much faster than any Harley the force currently employs.
