The new El Primero 1969 “Tour Auto” limited edition watch is Zenith’s way to celebrate the 24th edition of Tour Auto, a renowned annual event that brings together some of the world’s most beautiful classic cars. The Swiss high-end watch maker is the official timekeeper of the race.
The 24th edition of the event is about to kick off, as the flag will drop in Paris, on April 20. Drivers will go through some of the country's most beautiful parts and will end the run in Biarritz, Southwestern France five days later.

Celebrating the classic car tour, the chronograph features blue, white and red stripes vertically on the dial and is simply called the “Tour Auto” edition. The new model comes in a 42-mm brushed steel case, with a silver toned dial featuring blue circle counters and sunray pattern. Everything connects in a harmonious way with an elegant, striped blue leather strap and a steel folding clasp.

Since vintage rides inspired the exclusive timepiece, it’s more than fair to take a closer look at the cars that will be present at the event. According to Perpetuelle, rare beauties such as 1953 Jaguar Type C Ecurie Ecosse, 1954 Maserati A6 GCS and 1956 Porsche 550 A will be attending the party.

If you're interested in vintage rarities, you could check out the event’s website. The event is organized by Peter Auto, a company ran by Patrick Peter, a man quite famous amongst collectors. In over 30 years, Peter arranged many events for modern and classic cars in France and abroad, including the first international race in Mainland China.

PS: other than the fact only 500 units will be produced, unfortunately, we are not able to offer any retail details.
