Young Woman Lets God Drive the Car, Hits and Injures Biker, then Flees

Here we go with another disturbing piece of news involving people who definitely should have not been handles a driving license. If you’re the kind of “I’ve seen them all” guys, prepare for something completely different.

On July 11, Prionda C. Hill, 25, was driving her car when, according to her own affidavit, she heard God’s voice telling her he would take over the car, and let the wheel go. Since God seems to either be a very unskilled driver or having instantaneously changed his mind, the result of Hill’s action was that she rammed in the back of Anthony Oliveri’s motorcycle, who what traveling at around 15-20 mph (25-30 km/h). A life-long motorcycle rider, 47-year-old Oliveri came off his bike and hit the ground, only to witness Hill’s car heading straight for him.

Luckily for both, the car did not run over his head, as Oliveri first feared it would, but over the middle section of his body, leaving him with a cut spleen, a bruised kidney, road rash and severe injuries to the muscles in his left arm and leg. As if things were not already bad enough, Hill charged on, hitting the back of a truck TWICE, before coming to a halt several blocks from the initial crash site. However, the car only stopped because it ran into the landscaping between two fast-food restaurants.

According to reports, the impact on the bike was so strong that Oliveri was actually knocked out of his almost knee-high riding boots. He managed to crawl to the curb and was helped by two passers-by as he contacted his mother and was subsequently admitted into a local hospital.

Hill tested negative for alcohol, but to our big surprise, a full toxicology screening was not ordered, even though she admitted she has a Vicodin prescription. Hill is currently on a $6,500 (€4,825) bail and is facing failure to stop after an accident resulting in injury or death, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and two counts of criminal mischief charges. Hitting the truck was retained as criminal mischief, journalgazette reports. Hill also declared that even though there was nothing wrong with her car, she could not stop prior to hitting Oliveri, even though she tried to.

Now, seriously, such people must not be allowed to drive a motor vehicle on public roads, as they’re a menace to both themselves and multiple other innocent road users. As for the God excuses, this makes me think of more precise medication and even specialized help, if you know what I mean…
