Indoor training can get quite boring, which is why a lot of people lose interest and give up. This game lets you ride your bike, play, and train at the same time without leaving the house.
Hustle City is a single-player cycling game that uses your indoor bike as the controller. It is compatible with all BLE (Bluetooth low energy) smart trainers. Wahoo Kickr/Kickr Core, Tacx Flux S, and Elite Suito were all tested successfully.

Hustle City doesn’t work with the Kickr bike or climb though because you have to be able to turn your bike’s handlebars for this game. It is not compatible with classical trainers, BLE speed sensors, or BLE power meters yet, but the team assured us it’s working to add support to those as well.

The game uses an app that is only compatible with iOS for now and transmits the gameplay to a second screen, as explained by the developer.

In order to be able to steer, you mount the phone to your bars and the gyroscope and accelerometer in your smartphone do their thing. Your bike’s tires have to move freely on the ground and the game creators recommend you use a rotating swivel for an optimal experience.

Hustle City is a story-driven cycling game that has you riding your bike to busy city streets, as a bike messenger, fighting traffic, and putting down wattage to deliver packages on time. Because this is a training game, it starts you off easy but as you keep on playing and pedaling, you get to really develop your riding skills.

One potential deal-breaker with Hustle City is that it is yet to receive Android support. For now, it only works with iPhone 7/7 Plus and up. You can find the game available for download in the Apple Appstore.

The first episode of the game is free, but you have to pay $19.99 to get access to the rest of the season.
