The all-new 2018 Star Venture is one of the most exciting touring motorcycles to be released recently. In fact, the model exceeded the manufacturer’s expectations and will have to delay deliveries to ramp up production and meet the demand.
“The excitement and reception of the 2018 Yamaha Star Venture exceeded all of our initial expectations,” said Mike Doughty, General Manager of Yamaha’s Motorcycle Group. “This production delay is a very unfortunate situation, but we stand by our commitment to the quality of our motorcycles, and the highest level of customer service for both our customers and our dealers.”

The message is being shared with customers who were in the Priority Delivery Program as well as Yamaha dealers across the country after the United States distributor was informed by Yamaha Motor Corporation of a modification needing to be performed to the production process at the Japan factory.

So, yeah, the first Star Venture models will land on U.S. shores close to the end of this year, but, as part of Yamaha’s commitment to customer service, clients who were part of the Priority Delivery Program will be gifted a $1,000 Genuine Yamaha Parts and Accessories purchase credit.

Yamaha’s new Venture is some sort of a new Dodge Challenger in the bike world. It has a neo-retro design, a modern (yet air-cooled) rumbling 1,854 cc V-twin to give it a tourer’s charm, but it comes packed with all sorts of electronic equipment.

You can count on the new Sure-Park system, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cruise control, adjustable riding modes, and ABS. Combine these with an all-new chassis, a low center of mass, and adjustable suspension, and you get a perfect motorcycle for long journeys.

The bike is available in two grades: standard one selling at $24,999 and the Transcontinental variant retailing for $26,000. The latter adds USB ports, alarm system, LED fog lights, more storage, CB radio, GPS, and extra audio system for the passenger.
