To safely overtake a car, while on a two lane road, you need to be aware of many factors: the speed at which you’re traveling, the distance between you and the car you’re about to overtake, road conditions, any upcoming bends and kinks in the road, and, of course, other drivers driving in the opposite direction.
Sadly, the driver of the silver Lada in this video is probably not aware of any of the aforementioned factors and while he overtakes, he hits the side of an 18-wheeler, then loses control and smashes into the car following the truck, making it roll onto the side of the road.
Thankfully, there was still movement in the car after the crash and, apparently, nobody was seriously hurt. However, after seeing this video, do take the extra few seconds to wait before overtaking and assure yourself that nothing is coming the other way and that you have plenty of time to execute the maneuver, otherwise, this might happen.
