Checking with your rear view mirrors is of course, a very good idea, unless you do it when you should have been observing the approaching bend...
This is the rather hard lesson a German young fellow learned after completely missing a very easy turn ans crashing his Yamaha YZF-R125 into a roadside ditch. Breaking both of his hands, that is.
Too bad, as we can all see the boy can really ride: leaning well through the turns, and picking his bike up quite fast, in an almost aggressive road-warrior-ish way, even if he's not exactly speeding.
However, this video shows that good riding skills are worth less than half a rusty penny when not looking ahead on the road. I really wish him a full, speedy recovery and all the best... and an eye on the road: he got away pretty easy this time, but other fellows not paying attention to their riding ended up way worse.
