Yamaha announces color upgrades for the FZ bikes they sell in India. Three bike series are getting new liveries, as follows: The FZ will be available in Absolute Black, Brute Blue and Storming Red, which is the main color.
The new FZ-S machines will come in Tempest Blur, Fearless Black, Raging Red and Glory Gold (main color), while the Fazers will get Getaway Blue, Milestone Black, Rising Red and Streak Red schemes.
It looks that at the moment, selling small-displacement street bikes in the Asian markets turns out more profits than a potential release of the expected quarter-liter machine in Western countries (Europe and North America).
Now, we can't blame Yamaha for their decisions, but we're looking at how fierce is the battle in this segment, with Kawasaki and Honda being just the two most active brands in the field. Not only Honda released their half-liter CB/ CBR/ X trio, but they've also recently shown a new 400cc generation of these bikes.
If Yamaha is delaying the release of the 250cc YZF even more than they already did, it may be a losing move, as people are really starting to buy small-displacement bikes already.
