As India’s population keeps growing, more and more people need cheap means of transportation that don’t use up too much fuel or space, so, a motorbike is the ideal choice for the Indian man or woman with a need for constant mobility.
In order to provide just such a solution, Yamaha officials have recently announced that the Japanese manufacturer is working on, and will launch an ultra-cheap motorbike specifically designed for the Indian market. It will be the third cheap motorbike to be sold in India, after the Crux 110 (€500 / $625) and YBR125 (€625 / $780).
Yamaha, as well as Honda, are eyeing India and both have big plans on how to exploit the country’s vast unexploited commercial potential, to quadruple its current sales figure, in order to reach the desired two million mark by 2016.
