Yamaha is ending the week in aftermarket glory, with the bike producer announcing the introduction of two new goodies to its specific Akrapovic range. It all starts with the Akrapovic XT1200Z Super Tenere silencer and if you get this, it’s also recommended to order Yamaha’s new carbon exhaust guard.
“Replacing the larger standard exhaust heat shield, the high quality carbon guard reveals much more of the Akrapovic silencer, whilst still offering protection the for pillion passenger and matching the quality gloss finish of the silencer end cap perfectly,” a company statement reads.
For the Majesty 400, you can now get the new Akrapovic slip-on silencer, which comes with a carbon end cap, light-weight titanium sleeve and removable baffles. This not only offers extra hop and torque, as well as a meaner sound, but also cuts weight by 6 kg (13.2 lbs). Only for the Yamaha range, the Majesty rear silencer comes with etched Majesty and Akrapovic logos, being suitable for models from 2007 onwards.
