Tough decision from Yamaha reported by Dealernews: no less than 4 small-displacement and middleweight ATVs will be ditched from the 2014 line-up.

According to the same source, the Yamaha ATV dealers received a notification on September the 4th, informing them that 4 of the current models will no longer be available in the next model year roster.

The highly popular Grizzly 300 will no longer be available in 2014, with no future prospects being mentioned at the time of writing.

The Raptor series will shed three models for the next season: Raptor 90, 125 and 250 will be missing from the ATV showrooms in 2014.

So far, Yamaha has not offered any explanations for the sacking. However, the Japanese manufacturer mentioned some "unforeseen" vendor issues and efforts made to provide a solution for this. We can only speculate that something went really wrong, especially as the quarter-liter Raptor and the Grizzly 300 earned the "Best Buy" accolades from Consumers Digest back in 2012.
