Yamaha R1 with Single-Sided Front Hub

Tier motor sports announced a 2008 Yamaha R1 model which was fitted with a revolutionary single-sided hub concept.

All motorbike enthusiasts around the world know the famous Yamaha R1, the crotch rocket that brings out the 10-year child in every man. It's an amazing machine which can give you the thrill of your life or the near death experience bike lovers are not so keen on.

The concept will offer the standard benefits of a twin-bar hub steering system. The added features on the vertical steering axis gives both the ability for a quick tire change as the fast removal of the wheel nut. It will probably make pit-stops easier and less time consuming.

The photos of the R1 with the mounted single-sided hub concept does not look too authentic though. It looks like a not so-good photoshop piece, the too futuristic kind that you often see at comic book conventions.

The concept model doesn't show how many of the so-called innovations actually connect to the bike. Like how does the swing arm connect to the chassis or will it be air sustained? Will the bike have better ride capabilities, softer suspension, better riding comfort or more fuel efficient?
