Yamaha MT-25 Launches 6th of June in Indonesia

Yamaha Indonesia have released a teaser video for the upcoming MT-25, the naked version of the fully-faired R25 sporty quarter-liter machine. More than a teaser, the video is an open invitation to what looks like a huge party on the streets of the Indonesia capital Jakarta.

The MT-25 is a natural addition to Yamaha's roster, and Iwata knows there are a lot of riders who are expecting the naked version, and would rather throw a leg over it than over its superbike-looks sibling. The MT-25 adds to the existing MT-125 model that is sold in Europe and North America.

The Western markets are eagerly waiting for their own naked version

Learning about the firm launch date for the MT-25 is however, a very important milestone for the riders in Europe, US and Canada. This means that the naked version of the R3 321cc sport bike launched last autumn at EICMA is also on its way.

The R25 was introduced in Indonesia and the other market in the region prior to Yamaha delivering the R3 in Europe, and it looks like the same thing will happen to the naked versions.

Yamaha's quarter-liter naked bike will be the center piece of a party including multiple features to which such a motorcycle can easily connect, such as parkour and street workout, a rap festival, female DJ performances, a gymkhana competition cleverly touted MTkhana, nighttime paintball and more.

Obviously, all these are intended to stress the active lifestyle that is associated to the new motorcycle. If anything, Yamaha is not telling any marketing lies, as the MT-25 indeed looks like a most inspiring bike for the new riders.
