Yamalube Yamaha Official Rally Team will be lead Helder Rodrigues in 2017, this being his 11th participation at the famous event. The rider will be looking to make the most out of his vast experience to gain a podium by the end of the rally.

“I’m really confident for a positive result at this coming Dakar,” Rodrigues said. “All the members of our team have done an incredible job during the 2016 season. We managed to develop a bike that I believe is capable of winning the Dakar. During 2016 I also worked a lot to improve my physical conditioning and navigation skills.“

“This might be my 11th participation at the event but my motivation to do well is higher than it’s ever been. I feel that we’ve now put all the pieces of the puzzle together and it’s the time to prove ourselves. I’ve finished inside the top three two times in the past, so I know what it takes to reach the top. My goal for 2017 is to do even better than that. I believe all the right tools are there to make it happen.”

After finishing in sixth place last time, Adrien Van Beveren will be looking to get even closer to the top in January. Alessandro Botturi will get in the race for the sixth time now and will be looking to make the most out of the 2017 season. He worked hard to return to full condition after his injury during last year’s event, and he now appears to be OK and ready to rock and roll next year.

Completing the team is Rodney Faggotter who joined the squad during the 2016 OiLibya Morocco Rally. He showed he would be a strong asset in the team’s efforts to bring the WR450F Rally bike close to the top of the events' final standings.
