I am not exactly a fan of the flat track culture, or should I say, bikes, but the latest creation spawned from the garage of AD Koncept is a bike I'd gladly ride every day to work and more. Yamaha has been on a custom spree over the past year or so, and things just don't look like they are going to stop. Frankly, if you ask me, I'd say keep 'em coming.
The base AD Koncept relied on when they set about building the FT-09 is the revered MT-09, possibly Yamaha's most rewarding new platform for both traditional customers and modders.

The bike packs plenty of usable power and was engineered as a functional all-round platform that's still not exactly a competitor for the liter-class superbikes. However, the MT family is quite permissive with modding jobs and the FT-09 is the perfect example.

Following the less is more philosophy, AD Koncept stripped the MT-09 of anything that wasn't crucial for the bike, and being a flat-tracker, the turn signals are also gone. They might put them back for street use, however.

The rims went white and received TKC knobbies from Continental. Great in the dirt and on gravel, they can also do well on the street, as long as one can bear their noise and slight vibrations.

The retro tail section receives the classic "slash cut" design and is accented with lines that match the side covers in the front, with everything proudly showing off the black speedblock design of yore.

Being a dirt machine, the FT-09 doesn't need a headlight as big as the stock one, so the entire front end was modified. The bars are now complemented by a generous number plate and a single bulbous lens protrudes through the left side.

AD Koncept also replaced the stock exhaust with a racy one, and added gorgeous carbon fiber covers for both the swingarm and the cast aluminum frame, making everything look better and more exquisite. Maybe a tad too luxurious, some might say, considering that the FT-09 will scramble around dirt tracks, but I'd be just fine with this.
