Yamaha has unveiled details and pictures of their newest addition to the SxS family, the 2014 Viking 700. Since work-focused side-by-side vehicles are selling in far greater numbers than the shiny sport quads, Yamaha decided to surface the Viking as a workhorse with a nifty dose of fun-oriented design, too, hoping to bring in even more customers.
This new 3-seater is powered by the classic 686cc unit Yamaha has been constantly fine-tuning for their big-bore machines. Revised air intakes and air injection systems help for a cleaner operation and with the engine now placed under the loading bed, servicing is easier.
The 2014 Yamaha Viking 700 comes with the proven Ultramatic transmission, with dual-range operation and on-command 4WD with diff lock. Generous ground clearance and suspension travel make sure this SxS can really go places, even when fully-loaded. Disc brakes are standard, while the electronic power steering is optional.
The Viking 700 will be offered in Hunter Green, Red, Steel Blue and Realtree AP HD, with base prices starting at $11,499 (€8,647) and $12,249 (€9,210), for the solid color and Camouflage, respectively. Via Atv.com.
