Yahoo Says BMW E9x M3 and 1M Coupe Are Future Classics

Thank you, Captain Obvious! Should be written at the end of the article Yahoo published 2 weeks ago, naming the BMW E9x M3 and 1M Coupe future classics. You don't say? Would add Nicholas Cage.

So, let us tell you why this is such a blatant truth. At the moment, there's only one naturally aspirated engine still being built by BMW. Care to guess which one? It's the S65 4-liter V8 unit that is still (for a couple of days) being fitted on E93 Convertibles.

That alone is a good reason to turn E9x gen M3s into future classics. Furthermore, out of the whole M3 line-up, these 3 were the only ones fitted with V8 engines. To top it all off, the E92 Coupe was the last of the M3 Coupe versions, from now on being replaced by the M4. So... Yeah, we're pretty sure these cars will be classics and you should hurry up and buy one, while you still can.

As for the 1M Coupe, things are even better. The E82 model was the only true M car built within the 1 Series. This model was also built in a limited number, initially 200 and eventually 6,331 of them being built. The numbers alone make it a classic but there's more.

This baby was more fun than popping a piñata, let us tell you that! It has a twin-turbo N54 engine that makes 340 HP and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. With a perfect 50:50 weight distribution, a manual gearbox and amazing differential, this baby is as mad as the E30 M3 once was.

Got that? Now go buy yourself one so that you can give it to your kids one day and make them rich!
