Xzibit Loses License for Street Racing, Fans Remind Him of Paul Walker’s Death

The 2014 edition of Gumball 3000 rally is just hours away from ending, but the racers seem like they can’t wait anymore. After Deadmau5 got banned on French soil for speeding, it was Xzibit’s turn to get fined. The rapper loosing his license for a month for street racing on a public road with 123 mph (198 km/h) made fans scold him. They told him that he should’ve learnt from Paul Walker’s tragic accident.

Things start to heat up on what’s left of the European leg of this year’s Gumball 3000 rally. While the teams are hundreds of miles away from the finish line, French officers showed no mercy on speeding drivers so far. After Deadmau5 lost his right to drive on French roads, Xzibit has just lost his driving license for a month for racing on a public road.

The rapper wrote about the whole story on his Gumball 3000 website: “Damn! Got my first and only ticket on the gumball 300 rally so far, caught me doing 198 km/h (123.7mph) in France! 750 euro fine (in cash mind you) and they took my license for a month. They are going to send it back to me in the states after my ‘french’ driving privileges are restored.” Funny thing is, the French cops still asked for a selfie with the artist after the whole thing ended.

Even though the American rapper didn’t seem to make a big deal out of his police incident, fans on Twitter went all wild after allegedly witnessing the little racing moment. In fact, they even took Paul Walker’s death into the discussion as a warning the racers never listened to: “@xzibit @WilliamRutter1 Amen to that asses... Christ didn’t the sad passing of Paul Walker teach you anything.” You have to admit, Europe just isn't U.S.

As to the race, after a drive along the beautiful coast of Spain, the Gumballers and their cars will arrive today at the Port of Denia, where they will be sailing from in their way to Ibiza. The final drive of the 2014 Miami to Ibiza rally, will be from San Antonio in the West, across the island and ending in the South to the Port of Ibiza.
