Would You Believe This Is a Barn Build?

It's really great stumbling upon a motorcycle with killer looks. What's even nicer is learning that it hasn't been made in a specialized workshop, but ins the very garage of its owner, so we could say it's a barn build. Well, taking a closer look at Tim's custom machine, we could swear this jewel came from one of Europe's greatest modding shops... but it did not.

Tim's bike sports a striking and at the same time, elegant look commanding respect. With no less than 52 years of riding experience, Tim knew a lot about the Triumph engines loaded into Norton frames to obtain a classic “Triton”, so he wanted one for himself.

However, he also wanted a bike with the time-approved looks but capable of delivering better performance with less hassle and significantly less maintenance. So the modern-day Thurxton engine went into a custom chassis made by Burgess Frames and painted in a killer red color with a special-design Metmachex swingarm with Maxtons shocks. Maxtons have also laoded their own cartridges in the original forks for added performance.

A custom tank has been fabricated, along with multiple other parts, save fr the wheels, headlight and gauges, which are original Triumph ones. Leaving the nice natural color of the metal shine free from under the clear varnish goes extremely nice with the red accents and offer an exquisite character to this custom build. Too bad such bikes are not being made right off the factory...
