Back in 2012 we told you about the SLS 750 supercharger kit from Weistec Engineering. The beastly conversion kit provided up to 750 horsepower and 900 Nm (664 ft/lb) of torque to the already powerful stock Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG M159 engine.
At the time, it was the most powerful SLS AMG in the world, and the video down below can pretty much prove whatever statement Weistec might make about the car's performance.
Things didn't stop there for the American tuning specialists, since an even more powerful version of the supercharger kit is in the works.
In the works? Not just that, but the final product is about to finalize its long durability tests and will soon be available on the market.
Using a three-liter twin-screw supercharger, a high flow exhaust system and a clutch upgrade for the 7-speed DCT transmission, the conversion package is expected to deliver at least 700 horsepower at the wheel, transforming the SLS AMG into a truly formidable beast.
Last but not least, the whole package will work using 91 octane pump gas, which is quite an achievement in itself. Until the final product version is completed, you can feat your eyes with a video of an SLS AMG using a Weistec SLS 750 package courtesy of Motorsport Magazine in France.
