World Fastest Golf Cart Looks Terribly Unsafe at 118 MPH

Those around here that have also been golfing a couple of times know that a golf cart is probably the most unexciting ride ever. It looks odd, you sit too up straight, has a tiny electric motor and basically feels like a Ford Model-T of the modern world.

Of course, none of us here in the office really likes poking white balls with metal sticks all day on a field and our idea of a golf cart rather looks like this insane thing in the video bellow.

Yep, that’s the world fastest golf cart, after it broke the record last month by topping 118 mph (189 km/h) on a drag strip. The previous 103 mph (166 km/h) was held by the same company that beat it now, namely Fort Mill-based electric motors supplier Plum Quick Motors.

The event took place at Darlington Dragway in South Carolina, with the cart being about 90 percent stock. Which probably means that the only things they changed was the motor and the battery pack.

This thing could improve your game too. It won’t make your swing better, but at least you’ll make it to the next tee a hell of a lot faster. That if you don’t crash in a sand pit or tip it over on a hill.
