Women Who Ride Are Happier Than Those Who Don't, Study Shows

Harley-Davidson commissioned a study to check the feelings of self-worth and fulfillment among women who ride motorcycles. The results follow common-sense expectations: women who ride their own motorcycles ARE happier than those who don't.

The study was conducted by Kelton and involved 1,013 adult female riders and 1,016 adult female non-riders. More than half of the respondents indicated the motorcycle as a key source of happiness, while around 74% claimed that their lives improved after they started to ride.

Results show that riding women communicate better with their "significant other" and have better physical intimacy, 60 percent of riders vs. 38 percent of non-riders and 51 percent of riders vs. 35 percent of non-riders, respectively.

34% of the motorcyclist women also stated that they felt less stress after starting to ride, while around 50% declared they were extremely satisfied with their relationships. The respondents also indicated that:

- They always feel happy (37 percent of rider respondents vs. 16 percent of non-riders);
- They always feel sexy (27 percent of rider respondents vs. 7 percent of non-riders); and
- They always feel confident (35 percent of rider respondents vs. 18 percent of non-riders).

Guess we all kind of knew all these, save for the actual figures...
