A shocking video that shows a woman igniting the petrol pump a man was using to fill his car recently leaked online. Other than the fact the scene almost looks like it was taken out of a horror movie, it later was reported the driver’s brother was still in the car when the flames covered the hood of the vehicle.
CCTV footage obtained by the Israel police shows a woman approaching a man at a petrol station, apparently arguing about something. She then turns away. Up to this point, it all seemed like a normal day in a gas station. But then, out of nowhere, she is seen returning, pulling a lighter from her pocket and using it to set the whole scene on fire.
Luckily nobody got hurt during the incident and, as expected, the woman ended up in jail. “A woman approached a man while filling his petrol tank and asked a cigarette, when he refused to give it to her she pulled out a lighter from her pocket and ignited the petrol pump,” police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said on Wednesday, April 29, according to Telegraph.
What probably saved the car from blowing up was the man’s quick reaction to pull the pump out of the tank just in time. According to local police, the gas station’s employees then extinguished the fire.
It’s still not clear if the woman intended to harm the man, whether or not she has mental problems or if she was under the influence of something. One thing is certain though - the driver will think twice before answering next time a stranger asks for a smoke.
