There’s one guy out there in the US Youtube car community who has set himself the goal of teaching friends how to drive a stick. As you can imagine, such an adventure inevitably leads to certain episodes that are definitely worth watching and today we’re here to talk about one of these.
The man has decided to teach one of his wife’s friends to drive a manual and his weapon of choice is a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0. Interestingly enough, this makes the woman both lucky and unlucky at the same time.

You see, the six-cog tranny on the GT3 RS 4.0 is one of the sharpest H-gate boxes out there, so learning to drive a stick using one of these is a rare privildege. On the other hand, the clutch setup in this track-savvy Neunelfer is not exactly perfect for daily driving.

Her name is Whitney and while she had has a manual experience before, she claims it was at age fourteen and she doesn’t remember anything. Nevertheless, Whitney does know setting off in a car with a manual is a game that traps you in between stalling and frying the clutch, so the pressure is obvious.

While we are only shown some ultra-soft launches, it’s obvious that the lessons went on. And we all know that getting a perfect on a Porsche manual is one of the most satisfying go-fast experiences, so Whitney’s initial efforts are entirely worth it. Who knows, maybe she’ll even get to play the heel and toe game one day - the guy has enough cars in his garage to be completely relaxed about the tuition, so we can expect it to happen.
