Swedish manufacturer Husqvarna, now under the BMW umbrella, announces the introduction of an ABS option for two models: the Nuda 900 and 900 R, both for on-the-road use and fast-paced fun.
With all the help coming from BMW, Husqvarna has managed to come back with a bang in the industry of on-road bikes, and the new Nuda 900 models already have a class of their own. These two machines seem to fill the gap between the Supermoto and the naked bike segments, bridging them in a special fashion.

Husqvarna will be offering optional ABS ex works, adding to the safety side for those who feel like pushing their bikes to the limit. The external aspect of the Nuda 900 series has kept the spartan and sober attire, and that's really nice. These bikes are powered by a 105 BHP, 100 Nm twin engine taken from the BMW F 800 R; however, the engine has received some tuning and slight modifications to suite the new frame as good as possible.

The frame is a lightweight, tubular one, embracing the engine as an additional support element and with the fully-adjustable Öhlins rear shock on the 900 R, the sporty pilots will definitely get more fun on fast twisty countryside roads.

The Husqvarna Nuda 900 and 900 R sport 320 mm front discs and a 265 mm one for the rear, with Brembo monoblock calipers and sintered pads. The weight is around 195 kg (430 lbs) with the ABS module adding around 1 extra kg (roughly 2 lbs). The ABS can be disengaged at any time, should the road conditions or riding style require it.
