German-based industrial designer Daniel Straub has developed the perfect concept trailer anybody in this world would like to have in their garage before the weekend arrives. Named Sealander, it’s a six-person amphibian that combines features of an electric power boat and a camping trailer at the same time.
You enjoy camping in the most hidden places you only get to in the woods, but at the same time you feel like fishing? Well, this trailer will let you follow your own path, whether it’s on land or in water. Just take a minute and think about it. You’re hanging out with a couple of friends that want the exact opposite of what you want. Not a problem, you just start the electric engine and take it in the water.
What’s even better, the Sealander prototype was already tested on the roads as well as water and is now reportedly being prepared for production. The amphibious accommodation offers a table and seating for six people on the inside that can be transformed into a large bed. The fully-equipped interior includes cooking/washing module, cooler, heater, toiled and sound system. It’s everybody’s dream come true: a house you can move around whenever you wish to.
Its power comes from a 5 hp electric motor which doubles as a source of energy for on-board devices. It measures 12.8 feet (389 cm) in length, 5.25 feet (160 cm) wide and 6 feet (185 cm) high, having a total weigh of 881 lbs (400kg). Depending on the features you’ll chose, the price can vary a lot.
